With new GDPR laws and ever-growing concerns over data security, we’d like to grant any potential clients with some clarity over our security measures.

Taken directly from their website, “The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the toughest privacy and security law in the world.” Here at DC Reclamation, we make it a top priority to adhere to the GDPR laws and always appropriately handle sensitive data.

Following a collection, all data retaining products that come through our doors are data sanitised, to the government-approved British HMG IS5 Enhanced, (3 pass verified) standards. Our IT team wipe all disks within 72 hours of receiving them, mitigating the risk of sensitive data not being effectively dealt with.

On the rare occasion that drives fail sanitisation, they are punched and destroyed, making it impossible to retract any data from them at all.

2019 has seen some sizably controversial and damaging data breaches, with over 4 billion records breached in 2019 so far. A well-renowned credit card lender was at the forefront of breaches this year, leaking information such as addresses, contact details and credit information, exposing over 106 million records alone.

Breaches such as this only drive us to tighten our security measures further, always striving to provide the highest quality of service.
