Reclamation to Reduce Costs or Gain New Equipment
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations 2007 came in to force in January 2007, the aim being to reduce the amount of electronic and electrical equipment becoming waste and to improve the performance environmentally of all involved in the lifecycle of this type of equipment by increasing recycling and recovery. The Regulations require that producers of electrical and electronic waste be responsible for financing the costs of collection and treatment of the waste in an amount proportionate to the amount by weight placed on the market.
What hardware can we reclaim?
We accept a wide range of hardware, including Desktops, Laptops, Servers, Tablets, Mobile Phones, Printers, Monitors (excluding CRT) and other accessories.
We take a different approach to reclamation. Instead of simply giving your hardware to a vendor to dispose of or even pay for disposal, why not make it work for you? We will refurbish your equipment to sell then split the profit with you. You will earn credit against new hardware or use those credits to help a charity or community group gain new equipment they would otherwise be unable to afford.
Each time we reclaim a piece of hardware, we credit your account with your profit share. You can cash in your credit to spend on new hardware or other equipment at any time or save it for something larger in the future. What you spend the money on is up to you.
Donate to Charity or Community Groups
Imagine having the opportunity to offer a local charity or community group new IT hardware, without it costing your company. Depending on the amount of hardware we can reclaim, you could offer a laptop, desktop or a whole new IT suite.
Help the Environment and Offset your Carbon Footprint
An estimated 75 million tons of damaged, obsolete or simply unwanted electronic devices was discarded as e-waste in 2015 – triple the amount in 2010. Much of what we call “e-waste” is not waste at all but rather whole electronic equipment or parts that can gain new life through reuse or recycling. We can use this equipment to fund a carbon offset programme via our Environmental Partner.
